After a wild New Year’s Eve celebration, I was surprised to find myself awake at 6.45 am on New Year’s Day. So I grabbed my cousin, my camera and my favorite cover up to shoot some outfit shots on the beach.
It had rained the evening before and we had spent the rest of the night after the new year countdown running into the sea and dancing in the rain. That morning, White Beach was remarkably quiet and nothing like the full on party beach it was the night before. I loved the peacefulness and we had only the boat handlers and fellow early risers for company. We got carried away with the pictures so loads below! My beach cover up is by ibiza designer Edith Lopez Mayos (I cannot for the life of me find her website anywhere!), and I’d bought it at Blue Marlin Ibiza UAE in Abu Dhabi.
If you have seen my earlier blog posts (here and here), you will know Blue Marlin Ibiza is one of my favorite places on the planet for its fabulous day time vibe, amazing ocean view and evening craziness. This is the sort of outfit I would typically wear to the beach club and I personally feel your holiday wardrobe is not complete without a cute crochet cover up for those days when we overindulge or just want to look sexy as hell! This one is a new love, somewhat identical to the one with tassels I wore last year (here) which I sadly destroyed in the washing machine *sob*
My beach outfits are usually crazy simple – just a few key pieces put together can make one feel like a sports illustrated model (obviously haha). This time I paired my coverup with the white bikini set I wore on my birthday (here) from misguided and my ray bans. Finito! I went out for lunch later and I just put on a pair of high waist shorts to make the outfit more restaurant appropriate (beach restaurant that is!)
Let me know if you liked the pictures! Thanks to my gorgeous cousin below!
